That sound that you hear ringing out from every baker, butcher and candlestick maker is the sound of unadulterated happiness. It isn’t very often that we hear it. The last time was probably at the end of World War 2. So it’s nice to hear it isn’t it?

It isn’t unfounded, or because some rich racist footballer has scored a goal or two, but because it’s been confirmed that the new series of Arrested Development will be shown in the UK on fancy internet streaming service Netflix.

If you don’t have Netflix, then you should take advantage of their month free offer, because there’s some juicy choices on there. The full The Only Way Is Essex for example, and some really torturous horror movies. Like, seriously bad films that have the woman who played Sabrina The Teenage Witch‘s Valerie in it.

Anyway, it won’t be here until 2013, and probably won’t be brilliant, but imagine, brand new, created content exclusive to a platform that isn’t ruined by Cillit Bang adverts or Martine McCutcheon.

The news is in! @NetflixUK will be the exclusive home to all seasons of comedy hit “Arrested Development” incl. S4 in 2013.

No confirmed date yet, but we’ll post it as soon as we have it. We will also be adding Emmy® Award-winning hit Modern Family + The League.

So there.
